Architekturtheorie zwischen Gesellschafts-und Kulturtheorie. Von Adorno zu Sloterdijk
In: Leviathan: Berliner Zeitschrift für Sozialwissenschaft, Band 39, Heft 1, S. 3-19
ISSN: 1861-8588
The article explores the exclusion of architecture from social sciences and cultural studies after 1945. The first part of the paper deals with the ultimate causes of the 'oblivion of architecture' in critical and structuralist theories. The second and third part deals with Peter Sloterdijk's outline of an architectonic oriented cultural theory of Modernism. It will be shown that even this attempt was inadequate, continuing as it does the previous exclusion of social factors in architectural theory. Adapted from the source document.
